The XMagnet® Trademark Infringement Bounty Hunter Program
You can get paid $25 for being a private TM and © bounty hunter for us and reporting copycats.
XMagnet.com will pay you $25 for sending us information that leads to someone who is copying or infringing our XMagnet® products, product shape, or trademark. It may also be sold under XRibbon™, or XSticker™. It may be sold as a cause magnet, car magnet, ribbon, sticker, or yellow ribbon.
Tell us if you see someone selling XMagnets who is not legally licensed by us.
We can't be everywhere and see everything to protect our marks against rip-off artists or even accidental infringement by honorable persons. Therefore, we have created an army of private police - you and everyone else.
To be entitled to collect your bounty, you need to tell us the information below, using the Bounty Email Form linked below. If you don't have all of the information, go ahead and send us what you do have now, and send the rest when you have gathered it. Just be sure to use the same personal information each time so we can make sure that you get credit for all your information that you send.
- Your full name and full contact information.
- The name of website, place or store in which the wrongful items are located.
- The address and phone number of the infringing place.
- The date you saw the infringing merchandise.
- Whether the merchandise still there for us to see.
- The name of the manufacturer of the merchandise (see note below on how to find this)
- If you can, send now or later a picture of the merchandise.
- Tell us anything else we should know.
There are several ways to tell who made an item. Since we are not physically located in the same place you and the violator are located, we need this to identify the item's maker. The more information we have, the more likely we will be able to identify the offender, and therefore pay you the bounty.
- Check the bar code (the thing they scan at the check-out with all the vertical thick and thin lines) and write down all of the numbers that are under the lines.
- Ask the store owner who makes the merchandise for their phone number for whatever reason.
Terms:
You are entitled to payment if we initially confirm that the person or company you have reported is infringing our mark. XMagnet.com pays you up front. You do not have to wait for payment beyond that point. As soon as we confirm that they are, we will pay you. It may take us awhile to complete our legal action against them, but you do not have to wait.
We pay the first person to notify us about an offender.
If you are not the first person the notify us about an offender, but you provide us with samples, price tags, receipts, names, or other evidence that assists us in identifying them or in our case against them, we may elect to pay you $25 in addition to having paid the first reporting person.
If we find that the offender was not infringing our mark, no payment is due, but if your report was in good faith we will send you a product or product coupon to show our gratitude for your working with us in our bounty program.
